Home, Aug. 27, 1914Darling Helen: News came from Wanda this morning that she is well & happy in a San Francisco hospital with another boy! Tom telephoned that all goes well.As to the pears for Mrs Swartz the request came too late. The last of them was shipped about two weeks ago.I'm so glad you are all so well. I got back from the Shasta pine woods two days ago & of course I'm better, tho I should have stayed longer.Ever your devoted fatherJohn Muir
