Dear Mrs. Muir:
Pardon me for my tardy acknowledgement of your kind remembrance. It came when I was “up to my eyes” in work, cleaning the Library, -and, indeed, I am stealing time now to write this note. I trust you are well, and that your dear little babe kept you from being too lonely. Kiss her for me – I send her in my heart as many kisses as her mother sent me cherries – and believe me – Sincerely yours,
[Ina Coolbilt?]
