Baines AvenueSalisburyRhodesia13 Decr 1912Dear Professor MuirIt was most kind of you to send me a copy of your book "Stickeen" some months ago & I hope you will accept my apologies for the delay in expressing my thanks for the book & the kindly thought which prompted the sending of it. I have found it very interesting as have also many of my friends to whom it has been lent.I trust the remainder of your tour after we parted at [Umtali?] passed off pleasantly, & profitably from the scientific point of view & that some day you wil pay another visit to this land of beautiful mountains & rolling plains. If you do my wife & I will be pleased to put you up & give you a good time. Let me conclude with the best wishes for a Happy Xmas & a Joyous New Year. With kind regards, Very sincerely yoursG. H.
