Martinez, Saturday 9. Nov. 1912Dear Buel,Your letter received yesterday. I suppose on account of rain, nothing has been done on the right of way business, as far as I know. Hav'n't heard a word either from Linning or agents of the Telephone Co.Therefore give yourself no trouble about coming here until you get definite word from me.As to the stipulation that no power line right of way may be granted parallel to the company's telephone line nearer than a thousand feet, it is because of the disturbance from leakage of the power wires. There is no restriction as to other telegraph & telephone lines.Am so glad you are all well. Heavy rain here today. Love to Helen & the blessed boys. Don't know when Ill get my work in shape to go to Pasadena or Hollywood, probably a month or more.Ever faithfullyJohn Muir
