Mabirra ForestJinja P.O.UGANDA.vis Mombasa. B.E.A.29th October 1912Dear Mr Muir,Your welcome letter of September August 14th arrived here on September 2lat and the book "Mountains of California a couple of weeks after. Thank you so very much for this latter, I have not yet read it but have glanced through it and am sure I shall enjoy reading. I am posting the negatives under separate cover and trust they arrive at your address in good order. Many thanks for your information regarding California it is a part of the world I have always longed to visit, and perhaps fate may yet direct my footsteps' that way who knows?I wonder if we will ever meet again, I really enjoyed the few days we spent together and shall look forward to a reunion in some part of the world. At present I expect I shall be in Uganda for a couple of years at least and if fortunes exile on me I suppose I shall return, otherwise I shall look for pastures new. I am somewhat of a reamer at heart and do like the idea of remaining in one spot all my days. I trust you are blessed with the best of health and that you win write to me again soon. With kindest regards,Yours very sincerely[illegible]05289
