Martinez, Aug. 24, 1912 Dear Miss Kellogg Here is the missing clipping on the Eliot Havard Club dinner and another on “The Scripps Institution for Biological Research” from “Science” Aug. 9, 1912. Please tell Mrs. Kellogg that I have received her welcome letter and will reply after I get her P. O. address. Is it simply “Highlawn Altadena.”? Looking over a lot of old notes on Alaska to see what sort of a book may be made of them keeps me busy. Nevertheless I try to hope I may see you all ere long. Ever faithfully affectionately yours John Muir
