f jMartinez, Aug 24 1912Dear Johnson,I've written to Colby asking him to send you all the clippings on Hetch Hetchy affairs likely to be useful to you in writing your Century editorial. As to the Amazon-African articles I thought I had explained that I would not be able to write them at the time you wanted them & that I was not to be depended on tho you will know how glad I'd be to serve you. I'm trying to obtain more photographs. It may be more than a year before any of the above stuff is ready for you. In the meantime am working on Alaska. With best wishes faithfully yoursJohn Muir
