4& sail from Marseilles on Aug 16th ss. "Goth" so please address all letters &c to Jinja P. O. Uganda. I wonder if you would let me know what prospects there are in your part of the world for a young man like me--a Rubber Planter & all round business man--servants & secretarial combined besides outside work. Uganda is not much of a place to take a wife to & although I am not married yet I should like to. I don't want to be another mans servant always but would to strike out on my own.Kindest regardsYours sincerelyH. H. Allson[1]93 Queen RdLiverpool E25th July 1912Dear Mr. Muir,I was indeed very pleased to receive your letter although I have not written previously I had not forgotten you.My voyage home via Cape Town was very delightful & I arrived in London at the end of March. Let me know if you want the negatives & I will post them to you. Thanks you very much for the Book "Stickeen" safely to hand. I shall always prize it in memory of our short "Baobab Expedition" I have not yet read it. Well I am booked up for another spell of 2 or 3 years in Uganda
