Hollywood, Cal., June 10, 1912. 1525 Formosa Avenue.Dear Lummis:-I first heard the sad news of your blindness from our blessed old friend,Francis Browne, and as I was at one time threatened with blindness, and was blind for several weeks, I know what that darkness is and am able to sympathize with you. After my return from a long trip in South America and Africa I have found no permanent homo or abiding place as yet. But no matter, I shall pay you a visit as scon as I can find my way to you.I am very glad that you can write, as you say, better than ever. You have seen a greet part of the world so well that you can recall it almost as if you were again enjoying God's sunshine.,br>With all good wishes,I am,Ever faithfully,[illegible]
