Hollywood, Cel., June 10, 1912.1525 Formosa Avenue.Dear Mr. Colby:-The train on which I started for Los Angeles left so early that I was not able to see you at the Kills Building 1 am glad to hear the good news about securing the Soda Springs. Of course I will stand by you in making up the required sum.I am working on my notes down here, but I hope to be in San Francisco before you start. I cannot say at present that I will be able to go to the Kern River with you. I have been away from home so much and have so many things on my hands that I rill be awfully busy the whole bummer I am afraid. Still I may possibly go part way with you. With all good wishes, I am,Ever faithfully yours,John Muir
