Para Brazil, Sep. 19, 1911Dear brother David,I've had a glorious good time up the Amazon over a 1000 miles to Manaus on the Rio Negro. Got back to Para & am waiting for a steamer to go south to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires across to Valparaiso etc. Of course the Amazon heat was great but I stood it it well, escaped the prevalent fevers & had a grand time among the best people & the vast woods & waters etc05106A mail steamer goes north tomorrow & I am sending this brief note in haste with best wishes for you all.Ever faithfully your brother John
