John Muir Esq Martinez Cala
My Dear Sir:
In your letter of the 31st of January last, you indicated that you would “not be able to leave home” during the month of Feb. This expression, encourages me to hope that you may be able to Lecture for us on some Wednesday in March, April or May. For the month of March Wednesday, the 16th is vacant. Can you honor us with a Lecture on that day? — If not, what Wednesday in April would suit you? Please answer me whether we can entertain the hope of your Lecturing for us.
Yours Most Sincerely John LeConte
PS Mrs LeConte says that she is anxious to see you under the new regIillegible].
