Hereafter my address will be c/o R. U. Johnson, The Century Magazine, union Square, New York City for Mrs. Harriman is going to move to her country place, while I'll remain in New York until after [the?] Yale affair & perhaps for another month working on the Yosemite book if the weather does not get too hot. If it does I'll off to the sea & finish the book next winter. I'm feeling fine, in this grand airy house on the side of Central Park & I've done some good work. Haven't heard a word from Mrs. Sellers, & but little from the Hookers, Ever devotedlyYour loving fatherJohn Muir[letterhead]New York June 15, 1911Darling HelenI got your letter of the 10th this morning.Get away to a cool mountain & camp out under the pines with the baby while teething but near a house or hotel for convenience. Dont however sleep in a dusty stuffy room even at a [illegible] hotel, for that would be worse than the dry desert however hot, and see that you get nourishing food for yourself. Watch the babe's gums. Have them lanced if necessary
