164No. 1 East 69th StreetNew YorkMay 23, 1911Darling Helen,I've been getting your cheery letters regularly from so glad you & the little boy are so well. You must torch the sturdy fellow to take gradually loss nourishment from you & sore of other baby food lost you become enfeebled. I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Funk's illness & fondly here she may soon with proper care recover.I!ve had a great time in Washington & in Boston, innumerable dinners etc & have bravely weathered them all & feel fine. The above address will not be changed until I leave for Brazil, which will not be before the first of July. It is the residence of Mrs. Harriman where I am royally entertained & feel at home. The Autobiography will probably be out next fall. The publishers like it very much. I hope to got the Yosemite book finished before I sail.Ever my Darling your devoted fatherJohn MuirAll lettors c/o The Century are forwarded here.
