Los Angeles, Cal., April 15, 1911.325 West Adams Street. Darling Helen:-I intend to leave here tomorrow night on the Lark and will arrive in San Francisco Monday morning. Of course I will go right out to Martinez where I will see Buel.It is delightful to hear from you so often, especially since all the news so far as been as good as possible.I will only have three or four days at home altogether, and will have some packing to do. I have one book, the first of the autobiography, finished, and another, the Yosemite book, about two-thirds done, which I will take to New York with me and probably finish it there.Of course you will keep up eternal vigilance in caring for yourself and baby boy, and with that desert air I am sure, barring accidents, that all will go well indefinitely.I am feeling pretty well, only a little tired. Expect to have a pleasant ride across the country to New York.Give my kindest regards to all the Funks and to the Van Dykes.Goodbye. I will write again before leaving San Francisco, or mighty soon after, fiver your devoted father,[illegible]
