Los Angeles, Cal., March 31, 1911.325 West Adams Street.William E. Colby,402 Mills Bldg.,San Francisco, Cal.Dear Mr. Colby:-It must make every honest man grunt to have this eternal Hetch-Hetchy question bob up as if not a word had been written or spoken on the subject before. I have written to Taft, Kent, and the new secretary, as you suggested. All we can do, as far as I see, is to watch and be ready for every action that the unweariable thieves and robbers invent.Send me a word every day or two telling Keith's condition, and when you see him always assure him of my love.I expect to be in San Francisco about the middle of April.Faithfully yours,[illegible]
