Nov. 14th [1909?]Dear Mrs Hooker & MarianFine air here today & I wish you were enjoying it. The melancholy mud has gone & a ride or saunter would have done both of you good. Should this benevolent weather smile until next Sunday can't you come up on the Southern Pacific. Trains leave the city at 8.20 & 9.40. I can meet you at Martinez. The big tunnel on the Santa Fe is blocked.I got my head back a week ago & am hale. Went to the city & put that confounded Hetch Hetchy pamphlet together for the printer in five or six hours, & am at work again on my old M. S.Ever faithfully yoursJohn Muir
