105 Martinez, Oct. 30 1909Dear Mr JohnsonWith formal acceptance of membership in the Academy I send today photograph of myself as you requested should it be too large return it & Ill try to find a smaller one.I'm still stupid with this miserable headachy grippe & see no way to get to Washington this winter much as I would enjoy seeing you. A hollow in the snowy Sierra is a more likely place.Colby is calling hastily for copy tho I can hardly put two Hetch Hetchy sentences together as yet. Heaven be with you dear Johnson.
