Home June 10, 1909Darling Helen. The best news I have is that poor Bertha Johnnie Reid's wife is now likely to get well after a very dangerous operation. Wanda has her baby twins & giving milk to both & her own she is fairly reveling in the glory & fullness of motherhood. Somehow I can't help feeling anxious about your being alone. More than ever under the circumstances you seem to think so favorable You should try to get a companion to be always with you in that houseEver your devoted fatherJohn Muir
