Daggett, Jan. 7-09Dear Papa-I received your good New Year letter yesterday. Im sorry to hear that the weather is so foggy and dreary up home. Today was windy, almost like a sand-storm, but it was warm and the sun shone, so our climate keeps far ahead of that around the bay. Im sorry I didnt04397 get the two deeds off to you ere this, but have had to send them to San Bernardino this time. I hope the delay hasnt mattered much.Do try and keep well, in spite of the fog and gloom. If you take cold come to the desert- it is the best place to live after all.Im happy as ever, and am as always lovingly yours Helen
