A Happy New Year to you. -
I wonder if you will think I am reaching too high when I tell you that I am chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Florida Federation of Womens Clubs," I know so little on the subject but I want to know everything about the

subject that I can in connection with Florida. I led the discussion on the subject, which followed the Report, at the Meeting of the Federation in Nov and with a quotation from your book, The Mountain[s?] of Cal. and I just wanted to tell you, (for we are countrymen you know I a Glasgow girl) that my ambition has turned towards the trees I have always loved

them, and now I am beginning to have heart aches about them. I am perfectly ignorant of the work but I want to know it, and I shall make an effort to. Give me your good wishes wont you.
