Home Nov. 27, 1908Darling Helen,I'm [so?] glad you are enjoying such fine weather & health as your letters tell, & that the Goldberg box was all right & the Valona deed returned. Last week was all fog & rain & mud, but the last two days lovely with frosty mornings. Grapes all gone. Dave has been here two weeks or more helping Will - has returned to Pacific Grove. All pretty well. Over 30 bxs of Quinces sold from your trees, am paying taxes today. Wish I could be with you for the winter. But its hard to look after things here & at Valona, & at the same time get my heap of notes & M.S.S. in order Kindest regards to all, & to the Father's loveJohn Muir
