Darling Helen.

Ive been in this charming camp a week & have been kept so busy dictating autobio stuff I'm fairly dizzy most of the time, & I can't get out of it for there's no withstanding Harrimans stenographer under orders I intended stopping only a day or two but H wouldn't hear of it and ordered me to stay until he showed me "how to write books" I've never been so task-driven in a literary way before. I don't know when Ill get away & get free

from this beneficent bondage, probably not sooner than week after next Keith is on his way here & is expected tomorrow evening I'll tell you promptly how the muggins behaves. The mail launch is about to start. Write me as soon as you get this & tell me dear that you are as well or better than ever give my kindest regards to the Van Dykes & Funks. Heaven keep you darling.

Ever your devoted father

JM.
