My very dear brother John
So you have at last taken unto yourself a wife. I wish you and your dear partner every possible happiness in life. May Gods blessing attend your every step and may we all at last meet an unbroken family at His right hand When are you coming to make that long looked for long longed for visit I think you might make your wedding trip right home here I am anxious to make the acquaintance of my new sister. I wrote you a letter shortly after you left Alaska but received no answer but excuse

you I did not dream of such an important event as your marriage being so near at hand or even ever being at all. You certainly surprised us this time. but I must now close Give my love to my new sister. and except a large share for yourself from your sister Margt
