Home June 9, 1908Darling Helen. The Deed came yesterday, & I suppose you got the Japan silk painting to help line your Cabin. All goes well, Dorothy says "Helen never has sent me a single letter" Don't tire yourself by writing long letters, even to me. I think a Diary with brief notes would be a pleasant amusement & become valuable some day after you have made a name for yourself, as I believe you will. Mr Coleman sold another Valona lot for 450, & the rents for wharf & pasture will yield you lots of money. Millies four kittens all jet black come out of the Carriage-house every day but are very wild.Ever thine John Muir
