Brother John Muir
Dir Sir
I have made up my mind to leave this place for a while at least till I can see my way clear in regard to this land & other things. What would be the prospect of getting work from you for awhile till we see how things goes. the fact is John I have got to work to support my family & would rather do so as to borrow money Harry & Johnnie will try & get along for awhile I will try & sell 2 section of this Land & goes slow & shun. probably get a few sheep & [illegible]. but the trouble is to get along at the present time. I have given up the sheep here
as they had the scat & was getting worse all the time & was afraid a good many would die. They were clipped twice but it seemed to do no good they were mostly young sheep from Texas very fine wooled not suitable for this climate. If you did not need me perhaps you could help me to get a place some where near by you. please answer this soon & let me know what you think about it.
Yours [Bro.?]
