Darling Helen.
I ventured to S.F. yesterday with an old friend from Wisconsin with whom I went to school 50 years ago. I also went to see Colby & Her[illegible] on the H. H. question. Although the whole scheme has been reopened after the decision in our favor I feel pretty sure H. H. will not be dammed in our day at least.
My - what a [jamb?] to see the fleet, I saw the show, after a fine luncheon, from a window of the Fairmont Hotel
Wanda is out visiting every day & will soon be visiting with you
Your letter was a great comfort telling your good speed to health Regards to the Van Dykes & Funks & Mr Manson
