Darling Helen,
I got into my old home yesterday morning & am a new man - another fellow altogether from the poor ghost of the late Grippe - & Groan days. Nothing like going up a canon. How delightfully reviving the snow-coold pine-sifte[d?] Sierra air. I'll be back home by the end of the week probably get the trade papers completed & then straight for thee.
My kindest regards to the Van Dykes Heaven protect you Darling -
John Muir
