Martinez, Mar. 9th 1908Darling Helen,Be very careful how you venture on cooking Do very little of it, avoid the slightest approach to weariness or getting overheated at the stove, few things could do you more harm than this. I'm glad you like the trade, I made. I don't see how we can advantageously change it so as to avoid the $3000.00 note, for both the Berkeley property & S.F. lots are valued highly by Wanda & if you got either you would have to pay too much cash. I think we better let it go as it is & make changes later if necessary after circumstances develop. Im getting quite strong & hope to get into Yosemite after the heavy snow melts. Was in Martinez today, my first post Grippe ride. Wanda and all the Hanna tribe are quite well. Remember me [in margin: to all the Van dykes. Ever your loving father J.M.]
