Daggett, Calif.March 5 -Dear Papa -Your letter that came yesterday made me feel very cheerful, for it sounded as if you really were much better. Im so glad you are thinking of going to the mountains. Do you know where you will go? I hope you can find someone to go with you.It has cleared up here and I think we are going to have good weather now. It is windy04085today, so I am in the shanty. It seems so much more comfortable since Miss Brodt and her many belongings are out of it.My kitty is growing and feels fine. He runs and plays all over the room and is lots of company for this "old maid."I am feeling very cheerful. Have just eaten a big dinner - I cooked most of it myself so it was extra good. Everyone is well here. Mr Van Dyke is going to town now, so good-bye for this time.Always yoursHelen04085
