Martinez Wednesday
Darling Helen,
I got home Monday only a few hours late tho No 7 was in 5 sections. All are well except Strentzel who has measels, & wicked Charlie Baumgard who fell on the hill & broke his leg. He is in the hospital & I suppose some of us should visit him big sinner tho he be.
Have laid the business we discussed Sunday before Mr Coleman & it will be settled somehow ere long
I had a fine hearty letter from the President.
No rain today.
Remember me to the Van Dykes & Miss Brodt, & to your most cautious self. Never forget your strenuous climb to health.
Your best lover J.M.
