Martinez, Cal., November 14, 1910 Dear Mrs. Newton:- I thank you very much for the Kodak views of my old home in Dunbar and CatΓÇÖs Row. They are good considering, as you say, the Dunbar weather. I hope that I may yet be allowed to re-visit my cousin and hear the larks sing once more on the meadow near her house. I would be very glad indeed to accept your invitation to stop over at your house on my way across the continent, but there seems to be no end to work. I think I told you that I had another book in the hands of the printer, to be published in the spring. Four extracts from it will be printed as separate chapters in the Atlantic Monthly commencing probably the first of January. With kindest regards to Mr. Newton and the children, I am, Faithfully yours, John Muir
