Frederic Bade,The Independent, 130 Fulton St.,New York City.Sir:In response to the request contained in your letter of the 9th instant, I transmit herewith for your information several copies of Department order of May 27, 1910, giving notice to the City and County of San Francisco of the granting to it of an extension of time until 10 o'clock A.M. June 1, 1911, within which to respond to the order of February 25, 1910, to show cause why the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir site should not be eliminated from the permit granted the City and County of San Francisco May 11, 1908, and have to advise you that proceedings of the recent hearing on that subject have not as yet been printed.Very respectfully,[illegible]Acting Secretary.Inclosure.06285
