Mariansympathy3563 Jackson St.San Francisco -June 24/10.My dear Mr. Muir-Mother and I were deeply grieved this afternoon to learn of the sorrow that has fallen on you. You have been much in our minds and hearts since we heard of your sisters illness, and we have so wished that this sad parting might be spared you. Indeed I know what the sorrow of parting is even though we would04811
not hold the dear one here in the bondage of pain. Mother will write to you from Los Angeles - and I know she would wish to join with me now in sending you love and deep sympathy-Faithfully yours,Marian Hooker.
