[1]Pacific Grove, Calif.June 11 - 1910My dear brother John:-In a letter from May Coleman received by Ette yesterday we hear that you are home again, and also that Maggie is still very seriously ill with seemingly no hope of her recovery. What a long weary time she has had all through the spring and thus far and how we have hoped as we have heard from time to time that there would be some improvement and we will still hope.In your last letter written Feb 11th you mentioned the reunion, that you would hear was entirely given up some time ago, so Joanna wrote me. One special reason why she wished to make a move was on account of the girls health, Bessie was already out in Nebraska and Bernice was feeling much better but in Joanna's last letter written May 21st she said that Bernice had been ill again and Walter saw the need of a change of climate and said they had better store04789
[2]their furniture and go to Nebraska for the summer anyway, so she had written to Dan saying they hoped to be ready to start by the 1st of June, they are probably there now. Joanna keeps remarkably well now, I hope the journey and getting ready will not be too much for her. Anna and Marjoice have been at San Mateo about a week visiting the Fosters. Miss [Shayes?] is here in the meantime. I fell and broke my wrist two months ago there was also an artery broken. I manage to do things now by being careful, It being my right hand letter writing is one of the things I cannot do easilyMay said that Helen and her husband was in the Valley. I hope they will visit us here before they return to their home. Ette is not at all strong and has to be careful about what she does. Kenneth will soon be home from school, during vacation he will work in the same place as last year. The post man has just handed me a letter from Joanna written from Lincoln,04789
[3]she and Bernice stood the journey well. She said Anna Waterman came to see them and said she was just about to start for California.hoping to hear from you I amAffectionatelySarah.
