Los Angeles, Cal., May 7, 1910.Mr. William E. Colby,302 Mills Bldg.,San Francisco, Cal.Dear Mr. Colby:-Am glad to hear from you. The bitter and long drawn out Pinchot fight may have some little influence against our cause but I hardly think it can amount to much. Probably on the contrary, as far as Mr. Ballinger is concerned, it will cause him to stand all the more firmly in favor of what he honestly believes is right in the Park matter, feeling as he does that all the best public opinion throughout the country will be with him.The preparation for a vigorous fight on the 18th is all right as far as I can see. Do not worry about the expense. We will get through all right. You sent me a ballot envelope which I found empty. Please send the ballot.Faithfully yours,[illegible]325 West Adams Street.
