1435 Willard St.Jan. 7th 1910My dear Mr MuirThat was a very sweet and dear message which you sent us for the new year. There is nothing like the sincere affection of friends to make these anniversaries precious, because there are04673 other things that make them rather hard to bear.Marian has been away from home most of the time for two weeks, on hospital duty, and things have been very irregular in this house as you can fancy. On Monday her usualwork begins again. It is long since we have seen you. Won't you come out next Saturday (the 15th) afternoon and spend the Sunday with us?Ever affectionately yoursKatharine Hooker
