My darling Helen, I wish you and Wanda and Mary could be with me to see the grand mountains and glaciers. The little tawny must be getting very wise and smart, and the kitty crop of the rose bushes must be [ ] this year. You must enjoy the sweetwater grapes I have not seen any up here, but plenty of green sour muscats and Bartlett pears.
Wanda must look most solemnly imposing in goggly glasses but if it cures her headaches the goggling must not count and we’ll soon get used to it.
I did not get Mary’s Banff letter but will wish to have it forwarded.
Now Midge don’t get lonesome. I’m coming right home as soon as I can. I’m glad you enjoyed the century [ ] of the trip to Alaska and you will enjoy the trip itself some of these days.
Give my love to grandma and everybody. I sent you lots of letters and you must have got them ere this. Your loving papa John Muir
