John Muir

[John Daniel] Runkle

Oakland, Nov 30th 1872

Dear Runkle,

I have carried the little instrument you sent me into most of the canons and over most of the peaks adjacent to Yosemite, and it has worked admirably well.

I will return to Yosemite in a day or two.

I send you a small article on glaciers wh will interest you.

I will write glaciers this winter.

Ever cordially yrs

John Muir
