Dear Runkle,
I have carried the little instrument you sent me into most of the canons and over most of the peaks adjacent to Yosemite, and it has worked admirably well.
I will return to Yosemite in a day or two.
I send you a small article on glaciers wh will interest you.
I will write glaciers this winter.
