Dear Mr. Murdoch:
I was very glad to receive your kind letter of the 5th ult. which arrived today with news of your health and travels and of the Lunans, my cousins.
In tracing your course. I see that you were at the Grand Canon of the Colorado after all, and I heartily congratulate you. You must now come and see the Grant [grand?] forests of the Kaweah and Tule, and the glaciers of Alaska.
The enclosed article on the canon I wrote last Spring. It was published in this month's Century magazine, and may help to recall some of your own impressions, and answer as a letter.
Don't fail to visit me when next you come to America, and believe me,
Sincerely yours,
John Muir.03099
