As I have no duplicate of the group on Mt. Whitney, I am sending to Ellie to have one made for you - The enclosed were taken at Alta Meadows, and you will see that I have cut off those two strangers who were

so desirous to be in the picture - These of Upper Ben Paw I enclose because I think the ones I sent with the broad margins are very poor prints on that kind of paper and not worth keeping when better are to be had -

My visit to you was a very great pleasure to me - it was so kind of you to let me have it. The grapes we are all enjoying thoroughly, they are so crisp and sweet. With warmest regards to Mrs.
