Dear Mr. Muir:
We are sorry you are not pleased with the drawing which we printed with the glacier article. It was by the artists’ mistake, o- mitted from the “Meadows”. We thought it so rich and delicate in feeling that we could not omit it altogether. We are sorry if it is not accurate. It has been greatly admired as a piece of sentiment. We will probably use the paper on Forests in June
