Dear Joanna:
I'm glad to learn you are so pleasantly located in Old Virginia by the Sea, and that you feel so comfortably at home there. The winter storms all along the Atlantic Coast are severe, and you must learn to guard your health against them. Charles S. Sargent is an old friend of mine, Professor at Harvard. Director of Arnold Arboretum, author of Silva of North America, and the cause of my writing the Park book.
With love to you all, I am
Ever affectionately your brother,
