My dear brother John,-
The Christmas present you sent me, is received - it is fine - I could have danced with joy when it came. It will give me pleasure for many days to come. Many thanks for it, we all will enjoy it. In our monthly Review
02933
of Reviews, we had the pleasure of seeing your picture, given with the notice of this book. and in the same number we see mention of the two Alaska volumes. What grand volumes they must be. I am glad to know from Sarah that you are all in usual health Sarah keeps me posted as her letters usually mention you all. I
should like to see you again. We are quite enjoying our mild winter time - yet, as few weeks ago it was decidedly cold - with that exception the winter has been fine. I should be happy to hear from you. Love to your family.
Affectionately,
Sister Mary.
