My news has run out and I can not write anything else that will interest you so I will close by asking you to write to sometime to Your youngest Brother.

Dear Sister.
I do not kiss a [illegible ; blackened out] have been somewhat tardy [illegible ; blackened out] execution of my pro[illegible ; blackened out] to you but I will try to [illegible ; blackened out] rectify my tardiness by the [illegible] [ of views.?] First of all I wish you a very “Happy New Year” and hope that you spent a very “Merry Christmas” [illegible ; blackened out] Our Christmas here at home was quite merry though with [ not?] very much of es[illegible ; blackened out] [ spirit it at home by ourselves?] with a a oyster supper in the evening. At present we are enjoying

the blessings of usual health. and in this I will not even except [illegible] who is usually well for her though of course she does not move around as much as she would if the weather were warmer. It is trying to snow today, a little, but I do not think it will amount to much as it is most too cold. I am out of school for a short vacation now. My school is very small, not as [illegible]aging over 4 scholars a day thus far, but I expect my number will reach 30 before the term closes, at least I hope so. Alice is happy now, her Piano has come at last. It came on the 27” so that we have plenty of music now, for she spends all of her time that she has to

at it. Aunt and Uncle from Reo have just come. They have a grand- daughter about 3 weeks old. In your letter to mother and Father you were wishing that some of us were living at Phillips. Well with good health and no other draw- backs I am in hopes to be with Willis in 4 years at the most and though this seems to be a long time to look ahead I think it will come soon enough for now time seems to pass so fast that I have hardly time to make a mark at the end of each month, But perhaps I will not be the only one there. for Father and Mother are getting too old
