Dear Mr Millard
Your fine & Kind & wide open telling letter makes me all the more glad & anxious to meet you. Many thanks for it. come as soon as you can & bring your wife. Mrs Muir also is anxious to see you Let us know what train you will take & I'll meet you at the station. Muir station is on the side of our ranch a few minutes walk from the house The morning train leaves the city, I think, at 7.20. I must try to get to Larkspur some time, though I seldom
go anywhere. I should like to know Jordan better, have met him many times but only for a few minutes. Markham I have never met He is another man I want to know. His "Lincoln & other poems" I should like to read after reading you appreciative account of his work. I'll have much to enquire about his aims & methods when you come. Thanking you again for you kind letter I am with best wishes for the new Year
faithfully Yours
