Dear Prof Anderson
I don't care to see proof of my memorial of blessed Miss Merrill & have not the slightest objection to having it edited to correspond with the volume as a [whole?] Indeed I know now that my [love?] & admiration caused me to write in too full & overloaded style for publication & I shall be glad to have it cut down. I was just thinking of sending you [illegible]er's [illegible] [illegible] [but?] as to gratitude [illegible] [illegible] [would?] [illegible] from us for your & Dr Flugels visit which charmed & delighted us all. With warm regards [to?] [Mrs?] Anderson I am
ever Yours John Muir
