Mr. T. 0. Friedlander,
Sec. California Water and Forestry Assoc.,
S. F.
[Dear Sir]
I thank yon for the honor of an invitation to address your Assoo[iation] Deo. 20. I am in hearty accord with you in your efforts to stay forest destruction, have the management of the forests put on a national basis, develop irrigation, etc., and shall be glad to be with you at your annual meeting, if I can get a lot of work now pressing me off my hands. It is not at all likely, however, that I shall be able to prepare an address by that time. With best wishes and thanking you for the kind [invitation],
[John Muir]
