Dear Sir:

The meeting of the National Institute of Atrs and Letters at dinner on March 12, and the informal discussion which followed, proved to be of such unusual interest that it was voted unanimously to have another dinner in May.
This will be given at the Aldine Association, 111 Fifth Avenue, New York, at seven o'clock on the evening of Tuesday, May 14, when, by request of the Institute, Mr. Augustus Thomas will read a paper on "The Drama of To-Day," to be followed by general discussion of the subject, Mr. Howells will preside.
The cost to each member, without wine, will be three dollars.
As soon as convenient, will you kindly inform Mr. Johnson, of the dinner committee, whether it is your intention to be present, inclosing check to his order in case of acceptance.

Faithfully yours,
AUGUSTUS THOMAS,
F. HOPKINSON SMITH,
ROBERT UNDERWOOD JOHNSON,
33 East 17th Street, New York.
